Blu

Two days ago you went over the rainbow bridge and our hearts broke into a thousand pieces. You were the loveliest, gentaliest, kindest little rabbit we could have ever wished for. From the minute we saw you, you were the one and we were instantly in love.
We had you from 8 weeks to nearly nine years, we loved all your mannerisms, from jumping on my back if I lied on the floor, the nudging or licking of our hands if we stopped the head rubs, the few hours of cold treatment if we left you too long, the way you used to lay stretched out like a baby seal and the way you were so gentle and loving to us, you taught us so much about love and compassion we will forever be grateful.
We were all there in your final moments stroking you and giving you your favourite head rubs and you passed away so peacefully which we are grateful for. We miss you so much Blu, our home and lives feel hollow without you and our hearts are aching without you there.
A few hours after your passing we went for a walk, sat on a bench, looked up at the sky and saw the rainbow, I had never heard of the rainbow bridge but I know that was your sign telling us you were alright.
Play well my friend we will never forget or stop loving you and we will see you again one day.
